Snapshot Questions

Q: I need inspiration for my Snapshot. Does the yearbook provide any examples?

A: The OCY provides examples of past years's student Snapshots in the Snapshot Gallery.

Q: What are the dimensions of a Snapshot?

Q: I need help with my Snapshot. Will the yearbook help me?

A: Yearbook staffers are on call to help you complete your Snapshot or help your group with its Collaborative Snapshot. Email yearbook@olin.edu and a staffer will respond as soon as possible.

Q: I just want a headshot this year. Who do I talk to?

A: All students will be featured in a headshot this year. All students may also create a Snapshot, if they so choose. If you do not want to create a Snapshot, please email yearbook@olin.edu. Have you considered a Collaborative Snapshot? More than one person can share Snapshot space.

Financial Questions

Q: How much does the yearbook cost?

A: Volume 5 of the yearbook costs $50 until the end of the school year. Following commencement, the price will rise to $70. All earlier editions are on sale for $70 while supplies last.

Q: I don't think I can afford a yearbook. Does the yearbook provide financial assistance?

A: We understand that some students just can't fit a yearbook into their tight budgets. Let's face it: a yearbook costs a lot more than toothpaste and toilet paper, and toothpaste tends to be more utilitarian. We are committed to ensuring that every student who wants a yearbook can have the opportunity to receive one. We have specifically raised funds for this purpose. If financial constraints are preventing you from purchasing a yearbook, please contact us so that we can do our best to ensure that you get one. We also accept donations from those who would like to support this mission.

Advertisement Questions

Q: I want to purchase an advertisement to congratulate my child. How do I buy one?

A: Please refer to our Advertisements page. It lays out the process for purchasing a parent ad.

Q: I submitted my order for a parent ad and I haven't heard back from the OCY. Why?

A: Please email yearbook@olin.edu, and we will do our best to find out where your order went astray.

Q: I want someone to photograph my group/event. Who do I contact?

A: If you would like the OCY to send a staff member to photograph your event, please email yearbook@olin.edu. The OCY has photographers who can do so, depending on their personal schedules. Bounce an email to one of the following fine people, and they might be able to help you out:
